This classic Caprese Salad is a perfect summer dish—light, fresh, and bursting with flavor. With ripe tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, and fragrant basil, it’s the ideal addition to any meal or even as a stand-alone appetizer.

Ingredients:

  • 2-3 ripe tomatoes (sliced) or small tomatoes (cut in half)
  • Fresh mozzarella (about 8 oz, sliced)
  • Fresh basil leaves (whole or torn into pieces)
  • Olive oil (for drizzling)
  • Balsamic vinegar (or balsamic glaze)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Arrange the sliced tomatoes (or halved small tomatoes) and mozzarella on a platter or plate, alternating between them.
  2. Tear fresh basil leaves and sprinkle over the top (whole basil leaves work as well).
  3. Drizzle the olive oil and balsamic vinegar (or glaze) over the salad.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Serve immediately and enjoy!
