A devilishly bold twist on the classic margarita, this one’s got heat, depth, and just the right kick.
Topped with red pepper “devil ears” and a rim of black salt, it’s the perfect potion for anyone wanting to add a little fire to their Halloween festivities!
Ingredients
- 2 oz tequila
- 1 oz black cherry juice
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- 0.5 oz orange liqueur like Cointreau
- 0.25 oz agave syrup optional, for added sweetness
- Black salt for rimming
- Red pepper for garnish (cut tops off, deseed, and cut two slits to attach to glass as “devil ears”)
Instructions
- Rim a rocks glass with black salt by moistening the edge with a lime wedge and dipping it in black salt. Set aside.
- In a shaker, combine tequila, black cherry juice, lime juice, orange liqueur, and agave syrup. Add ice and shake vigorously.
- Strain into the prepared rocks glass over fresh ice.
- For the “devil ears,” cut the tops off two small red peppers, remove seeds, and cut small slits to attach them to the glass rim.
- Garnish with the red pepper “devil ears” and enjoy!
