My concoction highlighted the versatility of Sangria—you can customize it with whatever you have on hand! Using a simple formula of fruit, alcohol, and a bit of sweetness, you can create a delicious and refreshing drink perfect for any occasion.
Here’s the recipe I used that day with my overripe berries, but feel free to experiment with your favorite ingredients.
Ingredients
- 1 cup vodka
- 1/2 cup Grand Marnier
- 1/2 cup sugar
- Assorted fruits e.g., berries, oranges, lemons,
- Rose champagne
Instructions
- In a large pitcher, combine the vodka, Grand Marnier, and sugar.
- Add your choice of assorted fruits. Stir well to combine.
- Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least two hours.
- Before serving, pop the rose champagne and pour it into the pitcher.
- Stir gently and enjoy your refreshing Sangria!
Notes
You can use any combination of fruits, such as oranges, lemons, berries, or whatever you have available.
For the alcohol, feel free to mix and match with other liquors or liqueurs.
